According to major Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group, the cold rolling plant of its subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Group (Hansteel) has successfully produced HC260BD+Z bake-hardening steel sheets for application in automobile manufacture. In tests, the products in question were found to meet all requirements in terms of yield strength, tensile strength, elongation and bake-hardening index. Hansteel's cold rolling plant has the ability to produce HC260BD+Z bake-hardening steel sheets on a large scale.
Bake-hardening steel sheets are widely applied as automobile body panels.
